We collect information that you provide directly and information that is collected automatically when you use the Service.

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account information: name, business name, email address, phone number, password, profile information, and other information you provide when creating an account.

  • Payment & billing information: payment method details (credit/debit card or other payment details) when you purchase a subscription or service. We do not store complete card numbers on our servers — payment details are processed by our third-party payment processors (see Section 6).

  • Uploaded contact lists: lists of phone numbers, names, and other contact details that you upload to the platform in order to send messages or run campaigns. These are provided by you and may include personal data belonging to your customers or contacts.

  • Support communications: any content you submit to our support or helpdesk (emails, chat transcripts, attachments).

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Usage and analytics data: IP address, device identifiers, browser and operating system, pages viewed, interaction events, timestamps, campaign performance metrics, delivery and open rates, click metrics and other analytics related to your use of the Service.

  • Cookies and tracking technologies: cookies, web beacons, local storage and similar technologies to provide and improve the Service, for authentication, to remember preferences, and to analyze site traffic.


3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, maintain and improve the Service (including sending messages and delivering campaign functionality requested by you).

  • To process payments, manage subscriptions and send billing receipts and notices.

Note on sending messages: when you use Watoo to send bulk WhatsApp or other messages, we use the contact lists and message content you provide to perform the sending on your behalf. You control the message content and recipients; we act as a data processor for those actions.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract with you (e.g., providing the Service you requested);

  • Your consent (where you have provided it) — e.g., for marketing communications, cookies that require consent;

  • Our legitimate interests (e.g., improving the Service, ensuring security, fraud prevention) provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.

For contact lists and campaign data that you upload, we retain that data until you delete it or your account is terminated, subject to any legal retention requirements.

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.


10. Your Responsibilities

By using Watoo to contact people, you represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, consents and legal bases to upload and message the contacts in your lists. You must comply with applicable laws (including anti‑spam laws), WhatsApp’s terms and policies, and any other third‑party platform rules that apply.

Watoo is not responsible for obtaining consent from your recipients — that responsibility lies with you, the account holder.


11. Your Rights

If you are located in the EU / EEA or other jurisdictions with similar rights, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.

  • Request deletion of your personal data.

  • Request restriction of processing.

  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.

  • Receive a copy of data you provided in a portable, commonly used format (data portability).

  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
